Guide for Authors

  1. Researches are submitted either in English. Researchers should include two abstracts of their papers of no more than one page (not exceeding 250 words): one in Arabic and the other in English.

  2.  Researches are published in the journal according to the date of the acceptance letter.

  3. Researchers should submit two copies of their papers and the referee fees to the editorial secretary of the journal. Once the papers are accepted by the editorial advisory board, authors will be required to send their text in its final form in both electronic and hard copy and pay the publishing fees.

  4. Papers submitted to the Journal should conform to the general framework of research writing (introduction, theoretical framework, procedures, findings, discussion, conclusion, and references).

  5.  Footnoting (the style sheet they are MLA, APA.

  6. References should be listed alphabetically in 12-point font at the end of the research according to the following guidelines: 

    • Books: author's name- date of Publication- title of the book- place of publication- publisher.

    • Articles: author's name- date of publication-title of the article- title of the journal- issue number- page numbers.

    • Dissertations: author's name- date- title of the dissertation (master-doctoral) - name of the faculty- name of the university.

  7. Researchers should revise their papers in such a way that they would be linguistically accurate, and properly punctuated.

  8.  Researchers should submit a written declaration that their research has not been published previously elsewhere and that their papers have not been taken from other studies of any kind.

  9. Papers that have been published in the Journal cannot be published elsewhere in any forum.

  10. In case the referee has made the required changes in any research accepted for publication, the research will be returned to its author to make the required changes and then submit both the original and the modified versions to the editorial secretary of the Journal in preparation for submission of the final version.

  11. Research should be written in B5 format. 

  12. Research should include both a header displaying the title of the research and a footer displaying the title of the journal "Journal of the Faculty of Education-Ain Shams University" and the page number in Bold Traditional Arabic and 13-point font size.

  13. Researchers should leave margins on all four sides of each page (top, bottom, right and left) and the margins should be set at a minimum of 2.5cm.

  14. Research starts from the first page and the following guidelines should be noted:

    • The title of the research should be centered at the top of the first page in a 17-point bold font, followed by the researcher's name and job between brackets in a 13-point bold font.

    • The main headings should be written in a 15-point bold font.

    • The subheadings should be written in a 13-point bold font.

    • The body of the research should be written in a 13-point font (not bold or italic). Indent the first line of each paragraph.

    • Arabic texts should be written in Simplified Arabic style and right aligned, whereas English texts should be written in Times New Roman style and left aligned.

    • Spacing between lines and paragraphs should be single and 0.0.

    • Tables (if any) should be concise as as possible; their size should fit the page frame and they should be written in a 12-point font. The table number and title should be written above the table.

    • Figures (if any) should be entirely clear and their size should fit the page frame. The figure number and title should be written below the figure.

Publishing and arbitration expenses:

No: Arbitration expenses.

For Egyptians: 600 Egyptian pounds for two arbitrators in one case

If a third referee is required for research, an amount of 250 Egyptian pounds will be paid.

For non-Egyptians and research supported from abroad: $100. American for two reviewers, and if the event that the research requires a third reviewer, an amount of 50 US dollars will be paid.

(Provided that publication: the amount is paid equivalent to the Egyptian tific science)

Expenses for Egyptians: 800 Egyptian pounds for the first twenty pages and more than 20 pounds for each page.

 For non-Egyptians and research supported from abroad: $300. American for the first twenty pages and more: $15 per page.

 Data for remittance in local currency from outside Egypt.
