For decades the notion of intentionality possessed a arguments that are concerned with meaning and interpretation. The notion has been approached excessively from language philosophers in the framework of theoretical formulation and practical application of the speech act theory. The present paper discusses the notions of intention and intentionality from the different pragmatic perspectives. The relationship between the notion of intention and the notion of illocutionary force is established with hinting upon their connection to the phenomenon of linguistic aggression
